Over time it will make your pavers course and rough to the touch. It takes the top smooth layer away and they just wont shine and look like they use to. Old damaged pavers never look as good as new protected pavers.

I know most people think “oh they are hard concrete pavers nothing should damage them. Well unfortunately that is wrong. One of the other reasons you should seal your pavers is to water proof them. By sanding and sealing your pavers you are waterproofing your pavers so water doesn’t go underneath them and wash out the paver base. “When” this happens not “if”, you will have to pay for someone to repair your pavers because they will sink and become unleveled.
